Questions and Reasons

Fri Nov 16, 2007, 11:05 PM
Well, lately things have been busy and chaotic. I honestly hate the holidays. Mother goes on a rampage about everything, school sucks and other such things. I've still been struggling with my writers block so things aren't really progressing much. Along with the fact that I am slipping back into depression again. Though I am trying to work on a book that I'm writing. But I think I may just re-do the whole begining. I realize now that I don't particularly like the point of view I did things in. And some little parts I wish to change. I may change some of the order of events in it, take out some parts and add little things. Overall; I'm just going to change the whole thing. (Eh, and on a stupid side note, my cat is being a pain in trying to help my type this. Bad Gus.) Um, I was also wondering, for those who read this and care, what would you say to me posting little pieces of my book on here? Is this a good idea? I kind of wish to get feedback on this book but I also want to one day publish it. Would posting it here ruin the chances of publishing it? I'd just love to get some peoples opinions on the idea.

Thanks, Katrina.

Not at all. I don't suggest posting your whole finished book on Deviant art, but chapters are a good idea. (I post stuff though it's mostly poetic prose) One of my favorite artists and writers had their own website with their own book up there and they were able to still publish it. Yet free chapters for people to read online does not make profit for a side note.
